A wonderful and droll comic fable about an innocent simpleton (Sellers) whose only knowledge of the world is from TV, suddenly thrust into the world of wealth and power politics. 

Sellers sets aside his familiar slapstick style, plays it rather straight-faced, and achieves a remarkably inspired funny performance. It's an insightful and intelligent, as well as hilarious adaptation of Jerzy Kosinski's novel.
