Bizarre, unsavoury psychological thriller starring Sting (from the rock group The Police). He convincingly portrays a sinister young drifter who cons his way into the home of a middle-class English couple where he molests their handicapped  and paralyzed daughter. Although the film is handsomely appointed and decently acted, the weird scenario leaves a sour aftertaste.

Forthright supporting work from Denholm Elliott and Joan Plowright as the perplexed husband and wife.
