An alien masquerades as a corporate
honcho to cover up his true mission.
The Man Who Fell To Earth is
certainly wildly original, but audiences often needed a road map to
follow the plot. This is still the case today, even with the inclusion
of previously excised footage. David Bowie is superb as the alien and
Candy Clark's performance as the alien's doomed earthling lover still
feels abrasive.
The
movie was originally made for television.
