What's New Pussycat? (1965)
Woody Allen wrote the script for this story about an eccentric
psychiatrist (Sellers) and a troubled fashion editor (O'Toole)
who's obsessed with women.
O'Toole does not count on Sellers' own hilariously overheated
sex-drive and a merry-go-round of the Sixties most beautiful
women, including Romy Schneider, Capucine, Paula Prentiss and
Ursula Andress.
Allen was clearly still learning his craft at this point, and
the movie features a brilliant Pop score by Burt Bacharach. What's
New Pussycat? is the ultimate Mod confection.
