20/20
American power pop band 20/20 formed in Hollywood, California,
in 1977, after Steve Allen and Ron Flynt moved there from Tulsa
after fellow Tulsa natives Phil Seymour and Dwight Twilley met
with success.
The three-piece band signed with Greg Shaw's Bomp! Records in
1978 to record a single. Between the release of the single, and
their first LP on Portrait Records, Chris Silagyi joined the band
as a keyboardist.
20/20 made three excellent albums - Their sound a Beatles-esque fusion of the
innocence of their Tulsa youth and lyrics which reflected the
decadence of the Los Angeles rock & roll lifestyle.
The band called it a day in 1983 but re-formed as time-weathered
adults in the 1990s.
