The Executives

As the commercial potential of 'flower power' became increasingly evident, a lot of former R&B bands and blue-eyed soulsters like Zoot Money, Eric Burdon and Stevie Winwood turned themselves into unlikely psychedelic warriors. The Executives followed a similar path.

A well-known boot camp for aspiring musicians, former alumni of the band turned up in Jethro Tull, Stealers Wheel and The Osmonds (!). Frontman Roy Carr, meanwhile, resurfaced in the pages of NME, Vox and (more recently) Uncut.
