The Fleetwoods

A three-piece vocal group who met at high school in Washington. Come Softly To Me was released originally on the Dolphin label, which was later re-named Dolton and distributed by Liberty. The third Fleetwood's single was another softly-sung ballad (Mr Blue) which, like their first, hit the Number 1 spot. Their other major hit was Tragedy , released in early 1961.

Come Softly To Me was covered successfully in 1972 by British group, The New Seekers.
