Santana
Santana were formed by Mexican singer/guitarist Carlos Santana
when he arrived in San Francisco in 1967. From the start the band
combined rock with Latin American rhythms, and after appearing at
Woodstock became a big name.rn
Santana's 1999 "comeback" album Supernatural scooped
nine Grammys and over 10 platinum discs. Their 2000 single Smooth became
their first Top 20 hit in over 22 years.</
