Boom Box

The bigger the better - and if there were multi-colored lights that flashed in time to the beat then you ruled supreme! The Boom Box fad grew from the streets of the New York ghetto's (Thinks: How could they afford boom boxes in the ghetto?) and soon every Japanese electronics manufacturer had one in their product range.

Malcolm McLaren picked them up in a big way and the fad died overnight.
