Lava Lamps

The Lava Lamp was created by a gentleman by the name of Craven Walker. It was (and still is - the popularity of the lamp has endured) a long cylinder inside which a wax like substance was heated. 

This heating caused the substance to slowly bubble, float and move about the glass cylinder. Illuminated by a soft light within, the "lava" would continue to move endlessly.
