Ms.
Magazine

into shrill, menopausal, porn-hating, anti-sex victims, they were
pretty cool when they started out.
Gloria Steinem was a fox and they had a message that you could
be whatever you wanted to be - revolutionary indeed.
Ms. magazine first appeared in 1972. Edited by noted
feminist Gloria Steinem it was radically different from
publications such as Good Housekeeping. Steinem said Ms.
would not tell you "how to make jelly, but how to seize
control of your life".
The burgeoning strength of the Women's
Lib movement was reflected in 1972 by the US Senate's passing
of the Equal Rights Amendment which prohibited any discrimination
on the basis of gender.
