Seven years after he deserted his wife, Olivia, because he couldn't take the pressures of being married, Raymond Ellis discovers that she has had him declared legally dead.

Raymond moves into the apartment building where she lives with their two young children, Angie and Jordan, and her mother, Luzelle.

Ray tries to rekindle a romance with his ex-wife, but has to contend with a mother-in-law who never liked him in the first place and Col. Dickey, a Pentagon official who Olivia works with and plans to marry (Until Ray shows up and sets about having himself declared legally alive).

This short-lived US sitcom only ran from January to August in 1978, airing on CBS on Monday evenings between 8:30 - 9:00 pm.
