No, That's Me Over Here!
1 9 6 7 - 1 9 6 8 (UK)
1 9 7 0 (UK)
25 x 30 minute episodes
Written by Graham Chapman, Eric Idle and Barry Cryer, No,
That's Me Over Here starred Ronald Balfour Corbett, getting
his first taste of TV stardom as a little man from suburbia who
always courted disaster and was constantly in terrible trouble at
work.
Dressed sharply in his pin-stripe suit and bowler hat, and with
his briefcase, umbrella and copy of The Times, Ronnie
commuted into work each day on the train, together with his sniffy
neighbour Henry (Henry McGee) who also worked at the same place,
and for whom the term 'office politics' may well have been
invented.
Corbett and Rosemary Leach went on to reprise their spousal
relationship in a couple of further Cryer/Chapman series for the
BBC - Now Look Here . . . and its sequel The Prince Of
Denmark.
The series was a Rediffusion production from 1967 to 1968, and
switched to London Weekend Television for the 1970 episodes.
