Terry and June
Suburban marital sitcom set in Purley, Surrey, with Terry Scott
and June Whitfield playing the Medford's. The series was a synonym
for niceness. Dramas included visits from Terry's boss, looking
after a friends dog and Terry's mistake about his wife's
'infidelity'.

Throughout all these innocent misadventures, tubby Terry
blustered and June smiled knowingly.
The show was a kind of sequel to Happy Ever After (1974
- 1978) in which Scott and Whitfield played the Fletchers, trying
to get along together after the kids left home.
June Whitfield, archetypal sitcom woman, originally came to
prominence as Eth, the fiancée of Ron Glum in radio's Take it
from Here.
She first worked with Terry Scott in 1969 in Scott On,
and among her other small screen appearances are Beggar My
Neighbour, the nurse in Hancock's classic The Blood Donor
sketch, and more recently Absolutely Fabulous. .
