The Bionic Woman
Jaime Sommers, tennis pro, suffered a critical injury in a
parachuting accident. At the insistence of Steve Austin (The Six
Million Dollar Man), Jaime's life is saved by emergency bionic
surgery. Outfitted with bionic legs, a bionic arm and a bionic ear,
Jaime led a double life as a school teacher and as an undercover OSI
operative.
Jaime became involved with fellow OSI agent Chris Williams, and
yearned for a life of her own away from the government and the constant
peril of undercover work. Feeling that she had repaid her debt to the
government, Jaime resigned from the OSI, but soon realised that her
Bionics had become a part of her life and returned to the OSI and agreed
to take missions on the condition that she would be free to pursue her
life.
Chris was eventually killed and on November 29, 1994, Dr. Jaime
Sommers and Col. Steve Austin became husband and wife.
