This Metro Goldwyn Mayer drama series screened for two seasons on Tuesday nights at 7:30PM on NBC from 1963 to 1965. 

The series followed the experiences of idealistic young high school English teacher John Novak - including a couple of episodes where Novak has to direct the faculty revue, called 'Faculty Follies'. 

Novak found himself constantly involved in the problems and private lives of his students (and some of the other teachers).

The high school was called Jefferson High - but there was no sign of Ralph Malph, Richie Cunningham or Potsie Webber!

Guest stars included Ed Asner, Lillian Gish, June Lockart, Beau Bridges, Robert Culp, Cloris Leachman, Eddie Albert and Claude Akins.
