Return of The Saint

Nine years after Roger Moore hung up his halo as The Saint for
the final time (and moved on to become James Bond), ITC had one
last stab at recapturing some of the former Saint glory.
Unfortunately, although Ian Ogilvy seemed quite a decent,
talented and handsome chap, he was no Simon Templar.
Ogilvy lacked the qualities that Moore had brought to the role
in abundance (as did Val Kilmer many years later in the
ill-conceived big screen version) and Return Of The Saint
was never really a hit with the audience.
