Simon In The Land Of Chalk Drawings

Simon would climb over the garden wall to reach a land where, as the name of the series suggests, everything was a chalk drawing.

The animation style was simplistic yet completely charming and almost stylised. Based on the books by Ed Mc Lachlan, the series was produced by Filmfair London, directed by Ivor Wood and narrated by Bernard Cribbins. Mike Batt provided the music.

For a Canadian release the series was re-narrated by Ernie Coombs.
