All Our Yesterdays
A half-hour nostalgia documentary
program which screened newsreel footage from that week but 25
years ago.
The shows comprised footage from the old twice-weekly
Pathé cinema newsreels which were shown in the 1930s and 1940s, and
later included archive television news footage and studio guests.
All Our Yesterdays proved exceedingly popular with British
TV viewers (proving that people were interested in nostalgia even
in the Sixties!) and was originally narrated by James Cameron, and
later by Brian Inglis who carried the program for a further 600
editions until 1973.
