In the late 80s, Australian comedian Wendy Harmer brought back
from England an idea for a television show which would be a
mixture of comedy and bands.
In that sense, it was a lot like Saturday
Night Live (albeit with a very unique Australian flavour).
The house band were The Swinging Sidewalks.
