Following the huge success of Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, NBC produced this sci-fi drama series based on cases from the files of the United States Air Force project 'Blue Book'  (which was a half-hearted Top Secret project to investigate UFO sightings in the 1960s).

Two USAF officers travelled around America investigating alleged UFO sightings and related phenomena. Unfortunately, most of the Project UFO files were totally inconclusive,  but the basic concept provided us with The X Files many years later.
